I had no idea the Acai Berry only lasted for 24 hours once picked. That is interesting and speaks to why most people outside of the Amazon have never heard of it. I wonder if there is a way to ‘flash preserve’ Acai berries so they can be shipped worldwide? I would love to eat some to see how they taste. I was in the Amazon about six years ago…wish I would have known about the Acai berry then.
